CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charitable Society of Charleston is excited to announce its official relaunch and invite the Charleston community to join in celebrating a renewed commitment to service, philanthropy, and meaningful connection.

The Relaunch celebration will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Peacock, located at 213 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.

The event will bring together former members, community leaders, young professionals, local supporters, and prospective members for an evening of networking, community engagement, and celebration. Complimentary appetizers will be provided, and drinks will be available for purchase.

Founded on the belief that meaningful change begins with community, the Charitable Society of Charleston has long served as a platform for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the Lowcountry. The relaunch marks an exciting new chapter for the organization as it focuses on expanding membership, increasing community involvement, and strengthening partnerships throughout the Charleston area.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce the Charitable Society of Charleston to our community,” said Ben Thrash, Founding President of the Charitable Society of Charleston. “Our goal is to create opportunities for people to connect, serve, and make a lasting impact while building meaningful relationships with others who share a passion for giving back.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet CSC board members, learn more about the organization’s mission and future initiatives, and explore membership and volunteer opportunities.

The event is open to the public, and those interested in becoming involved with the organization are encouraged to attend.
